Rainbow Fireside – Terms of Service

Updated October 11, 2026

1. Acceptance and the Code of Conduct

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of Rainbow Fireside (“we,” “us”), including our website, application, Discord server, and any events or registrations we run. By applying to or joining, you agree to these Terms, our Privacy Policy, and our Code of Conduct, which is part of these Terms. If you do not agree, do not apply or join.

The Code of Conduct sets out who may join, how members must behave, and how moderators enforce the rules. If the Code and these Terms conflict on member conduct, the Code controls. On legal matters such as liability and disputes, these Terms control. Contact: rainbowfireside@gmail.com.

2. Membership and moderators

Membership is a privilege, not a right. You confirm that your application answers are true. Eligibility and conduct rules are set out in the Code of Conduct.

Moderators are volunteers acting in good faith. Their decisions under the Code are final, and you agree not to hold them personally responsible for how they use that authority.

3. Your content and privacy

You are responsible for what you post. You keep ownership of your content, but you give us a non-exclusive, royalty-free license to host, display, and moderate it within the community. Do not post anything you do not have the right to share.

How we handle your personal information is described in our Privacy Policy.

4. Third-party services

Rainbow Fireside runs on services we do not control, including Discord and Google. Your use of Discord is also subject to Discord’s Terms and Privacy Policy, and some of your information is held or processed by Google under the Google Privacy Policy. We are not responsible for those services, their outages, their policies, or their handling of your data. If Discord suspends or removes your account or our server, we are not liable for any resulting loss.

5. Disclaimers, limits on liability, and indemnity

No professional advice. Rainbow Fireside is a peer community. It is not therapy, counseling, medical, legal, or religious advice, and moderators are not professionals.

Provided as is. To the fullest extent the law allows, the community is provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee the community will be available, safe, accurate, or free of harmful content or people, and we do not verify what members say about themselves.

Limit on liability. To the fullest extent the law allows, Rainbow Fireside, its moderators, and volunteers are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages, or for any loss arising from your use of the community or the conduct of other members. Where liability cannot be excluded, it is limited to $100 in total.

Indemnity. You agree to defend and hold harmless Rainbow Fireside and its moderators and volunteers from claims, losses, and expenses arising from your content, your conduct, or your breach of these Terms.

Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law, or any rights you have under privacy law that cannot be waived.

6. Termination, governing law, and disputes

You may leave at any time by leaving the Discord server and emailing us if you want your information deleted. We may suspend or end your access at any time, for any reason, with or without notice. Sections that by their nature should survive termination, including confidentiality, disclaimers, liability limits, indemnity, and this section, will survive.

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Wisconsin, without regard to its conflict-of-law rules. Any dispute will be brought exclusively in the state or federal courts located in Dane County, Wisconsin, and you consent to those courts’ jurisdiction. Please email us first so we can try to resolve the issue informally.

If any part of these Terms is found unenforceable, the rest remains in effect. Our failure to enforce a provision is not a waiver of it.

7. Changes and contact

We may change these Terms at any time. We will post the updated version with its date and, for material changes, tell members on the Discord server. Continuing to use Rainbow Fireside after a change means you accept the updated Terms.
